It's long overdue but exciting all the same: Renato Caranto and the late, great Sweet Baby James are being inducted into the Oregon Music Hall of Fame! (They were actually scheduled to be inducted last year, but the pandemic led to a 1-year delay in their receiving that honor.) The event will feature three musical performances, including a set by Renato, drummer Micah Kassell and myself that will including a pair of songs we used to play with Sweet Baby James.

The other deserving 2021 inductees: The Decemberists, Gloria Johnson, Lifesavas, Steve Pringle, Carl Smith, Todd Snider, Tommy Thayer, and Renato's and my former bandmate LaRhonda Steele.

This annual event benefits music education, providing musical scholarships for talented young musicians. (The 2021 scholarship recipients will also be honored at the event.)

NOTE: The 2021 OMHOF event will be viewable on-line @ Facebook. Ticket price: $29.99.

ALSO: Proof of COVID vaccination or recent negative COVID test required for admission to the live event.

$30 in advance; $35 at the door.
