I'm proud to be a 2017 inductee to the Oregon Music Hall of Fame! I'll be performing a short set with some of the musicians who have been important in my career. Sadly, some of the key people in my musical life have passed away, including Paul deLay, Linda Hornbuckle, Sweet Baby James Benton, and Janice Scroggins--OMHOF inductees all. Also Jimmy Mak, who gave me the opportunity to become a bandleader as well as a sideman. But Edwin Coleman III, LaRhonda Steele, Renato Caranto, and Peter Dammann will help celebrate my induction by playing some tunes, including ones associated with Paul, Linda, and James.
Importantly, the OMHOF raises scholarship funds for talented young musicians, and this annual event is important in that effort. So I do hope you can make it out to the Aladdin for this one.
