Soul Cookin' is an all-star blues band that has a ball every Wednesday playing at Blackwell's, an intimate neighborhood bar in Portland's Hollywood District. The band includes Lloyd Jones, guitar & vocals; Brian Foxworth, drums & vocals; and Dave Kahl. (I'm with the band now semi-regularly, as my friend Dover Weinberg has joined the Robert Cray Band.) This is a really fun scene: a great way to spend a Wednesday evening!
