On this very special Thursday evening, the Mel Brown B-3 Organ Group—dubbed “Jimmy Mak's signature band” by The Oregonian—will celebrate the release of not one but two new CD's! These exciting releases—the first by the band in over eight years—were recorded a few months ago during a celebration of the 16th anniversary of the band's regular Thursday night gig at Jimmy Mak's! To make it extra special, Grammy-winning trumpeter/arranger and original band member Thara Memory sat in and added his combination of musical brilliance and hilarious comedy. Expect fun special guests to be on hand for the CD release as well!
The new CDs, “Ticket To Ride” and “More Today Than Yesterday,” are already getting airplay in the NW and beyond and are the talk of the town.
