This Valentine’s Day, the Portland Soul All-Stars will play a pair of romantic shows at Jimmy Mak’s: a “Cocktail Show” beginning at 7 pm, and a “Dinner Show” beginning at 9:30 pm. Both shows will feature classic romantic soul music originally performed by Stevie Wonder, Barry White, the Stylistics, Teddy Pendegrass, Marvin Gaye & Tammy Terrell, Aretha Franklin, and more! The band will feature three wonderful soul singers: LaRhonda Steele, Sean Holmes, & Tahirah Memory, along with myself on Hammond B-3; Renato Caranto, sax; Mike Doolin, guitar; and Micah Kassell, drums.
