Prior to teaming up with the No Delay Band, Linda Hornbuckle hadn't sung any blues at all. Her musical experience--apart from singing gospel in her father's church-- had been singing funk & soul--including the Sly Stone song, "Thankful and Thoughtful"--in Portland cover bands. We picked that song to highlight Linda's funk side, but we arranged it to make it our own.
