From the recording Live at Notodden '97
Paul's heavily processed chromatic harp got a workout here--featuring a huge sound appropriate to his lyric about a formidably strong girlfriend! John Mazzocco got in on the act with an extended bass solo. (This song was the title track on the band's 1998 CD release.)
This recording was truly a rare find: the groundbreaking Paul deLay Band at the height of its powers, performing at one of Europe's top blues festivals in 1997. Blues Matters [UK] called it, "A gem!" The CD was a 2018 Blues Music Awards nominee for "Best Historical Album" (the other nominees: John Lee Hooker, Luther Allison, and Jimmy Reed).
Personnel: Paul deLay, harmonica & vocals; Peter Dammann, guitar; Dan Fincher, sax; Mike Klobas, drums; John Mazzocco, bass; myself, Hammond B-3
